Odyssey is a 100% Polyester Coated Fabric that has a clear coating on the inside and is non reversible. It has good strength, dimensional stability, and resistance to abrasion, water, UV and mildew.

Both the single- and bi-fold beds will take two fully grown adults (250kg max).

The difference between the two beds are that the bi-fold bed gives you extra head room at the rear of the van.

Yes we can; however, we will need to either see the van in person or see photos of the conversion so that we can see what additional work is involved.

The STORM roof starts at £2795 inc. VAT for a SWB roof. This includes the roof shell, standard canvas in a choice of 18 colours and fitting to your van complete with installation framework. All extras such as scenic canvas, roof beds, mattress, LED lights, carpeting are extras and prices can be found on our price list.

The STORM Roof is fixed down with two cambuckle straps. This system is tried and tested and has been used for over 20 years, giving you complete piece of mind.

This depends on what work you are having done. If you are just having a pop top fitted you can usually collect the following lunchtime. If you are having any electrical or carpeting work done it can be longer. When we book you in we will confirm the collection date.

We ask for you to have your van here between 7:30 and 8:00am on the day booked. If this isn’t convenient and you need to drop off at a different time or day, please arrange this at the time of booking as we have limited parking available on site and it’s not always possible.

SWB stands for short wheel base and LWB stands for long wheel base. This refers to the length of your van.

Yes of course, all of our staff are passionate about cars and campers so your vehicle will be treated like it’s our own. Each and every van gets covered with our purpose made cover and seats and steps are also covered. No grinders producing sparks are used to fit our roofs.

To help you get the very best from your new roof, please read the aftercare guidance below. Following these simple steps will keep your roof in excellent condition and ensure your warranty remains valid.
Aftercare & Maintenance
Looking after your pop-top roof doesn’t require much effort, but regular care will help maintain its appearance and performance over time.
Roof Finish Care
- Gel-coat roofs (white or black):
Gel finishes are durable but can be affected by UV exposure over time. To maintain gloss and prolong the life of the roof, we recommend an annual machine polish using a quality compound such as Farecla G3 or an equivalent product. - Painted roofs:
Painted roofs should be washed and cared for in the same way as the rest of your vehicle. Bird droppings and other contaminants should be removed as soon as possible to prevent staining or damage. - Washing advice:
Avoid automatic or drive-through car washes, as brushes and strong chemicals can damage the roof and canvas.
Canvas Care
- Clean the canvas using mild soapy water only.
- Always allow the canvas to dry completely before closing the roof.
- If the roof has to be lowered while the canvas is wet, reopen it as soon as possible to allow everything to dry fully and help prevent mould or odours.
Waterproofing
- Apply a waterproofing spray to all seams and zips (inside and out).
- This should be done when you first return home after collecting your van and then once a year thereafter. We recommend Fabsil Gold or a similar high-quality product.
Using Your Roof
- When opening or closing a scenic canvas, gently pull the roof down slightly first to reduce tension on the fabric.
- Operate the gas struts at least once a month to keep them self-lubricated and working smoothly.
Hinges & Fixings
- Regularly check the scissor hinge fixings to ensure they are secure but not overtightened.
- Lubricate hinges annually using a silicone-based lubricant, taking care to avoid contact with the canvas to prevent marking.
Before Closing the Roof
Before lowering the roof, please ensure:
- Front and rear canvas straps are secured and tensioned so the canvas bows inward
- All canvas zips are fully closed
- The bed is lowered
- The side door is open
This helps prevent trapped fabric and ensures the roof closes safely and correctly every time.
Warranty Information
Your Storm Poptops roof is covered by a 5-year warranty from the date of handover. This warranty covers manufacturing defects and workmanship when the roof is used and maintained in accordance with the aftercare guidance above.
A full and detailed copy of our warranty terms will be provided at handover, and we recommend keeping this documentation for future reference.
Please note:
- Any warranty-related concerns should be raised with the original installer as your first point of contact.
- The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original owner of the vehicle or the individual named on the Storm Poptops installation invoice. It does not transfer if the vehicle is sold or ownership changes.
- Failure to follow the recommended care and maintenance instructions may affect or invalidate warranty cover.
- The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidental damage, environmental factors, or unsuitable cleaning products.
- Any unauthorised modifications or repairs carried out without prior approval from Storm Poptops may void the warranty.
